Cooking with a slow cooker

I was walking with my son through an unnamed supermarket last week when we we saw something i always wanted to buy " A slow cooker". Myself and peter purchesed the cooker reduced from 50 to 24 euros and some
Round Steak 750 grams
leeks 2 medium ones
Mushrooms 1/2 small punnet
Garlic  4 cloves
Salad Potatoes 1/2 bag
Carrots 4
Onions 2
 
and one of the new jelly type beef stocks from Knor.  We also raided the larder for seasoning and some big Bay leafs. Added some woster sauce and some Djion from Aldi......
Ok here we go simple , and tastes great . Cook for 12 hours. Hearty simple food.
 
Chop 3 big onions into nice sized pieces, cut the garlic and mince it.
Firstly chop the round steak into bite size pieces.At this stage put frying pan on Heat 5 spoons of oil throw in onions and garlic. Then meat
 
Chop and peal  carrots into Battons and boil for 12 mins
Chop Leeks and when meat is fried put leeks into same pan ..scrub pan and throw a small shot of water in to make a gravy for the leeeks
 
Now get spuds on for 12 mins
 
Turn on the Slow cooker
Add everything and season and a 500 mills of cream. 4 tea spoons of woster sauce. Cook for the 10 hours and bobs your uncle.
 
 
Great thing is the food is so good for yo uand the kids love it. I am going to go shooting after with the lads and a bowel of that and the camping stove will be heaven......
